Apple Wreath-elma çelenk

*  14″ grapevine wreath            * 14 "dedikodu çelenk
*  3 red apples (cortland apples are known to stay white longer)                                                                                                                                             * 3 kırmızı elma (Cortland elma uzun beyaz kalmak için bilinir)
*  mandolin slicer               * Mandolin dilimleyici
*  lemon juice                       * Limon suyu
*  dehydrator (or oven)   * Kurutucu (veya fırın)
*  hot glue gun
* Sıcak tutkal tabancası
*  acorns & star anise         * Meşe palamudu ve yıldız anason
*  burlap bow                         * Çuval bezi yay

instructions
  • Cut apple slices on mandolin ~ 1/8 in thick. Keep skin & stem intact for a nice detail. (be extra careful when slicing with sharp blades)
  • Immediately after cutting, place apple slices to the side and dip/brush in lemon juice to prevent browning.

 Add to dehydrator for 5-6 hours at the highest temperature to quicken the process (if you don’t have a dehydrator, set the oven to 200F or as low as possible & prop the door partially open to increase air circulation)
TIP: Fully enjoy the beautiful aroma of apples as they dry!
  • After the slices are dried, arrange them as you wish before you glue.

 { You can place them single layered like the one on the left,
or  doubled and irregular like I chose to do on the right. }
  • Once your arrangement is decided, hot glue each slice in place
  • For the acorns I had the luxury of finding them right out my doorstep. { etsy} sells some also. Glue acorns artistically to your liking
  • Add star anise for added flair
TIP: These are all suggestions. Anything goes!
